Jamie Ocheske is the PreK-8 General Music Teacher at Mullica Township Schools in Elwood, NJ. Jamie is also the Assistant Marching Band Director for the award winning West Deptford Marching Band.
Jamie is a graduate of West Deptford High School. She holds a degree in Music Education from Ithaca College in New York, where she studied with clarinetist Richard Faria. Since graduating, Jamie has taught music across the South Jersey area, including in Harrison Township and Gloucester Township schools. In her current position at Mullica Township, Jamie has led the continued growth and success of the middle school chorus, as well as the introduction of ukuleles into the middle school curriculum. Jamie’s chorus students have also successfully auditioned and participated in All-South Jersey regional choruses.
Jamie joined the West Deptford Marching Band staff in 2014. She teaches visual marching for the entire band, as well as coaching woodwind technique. At TOB Atlantic Coast Championships, the woodwind section has won Best Woodwinds for 2015, 2016, and 2017.
Jamie continues to play professionally and teach private woodwind lessons. Jamie resides in Wenonah, NJ, and is pursuing a master's degree in Music Education at Temple University.
